Woodlock University Reviews
I really enjoyed the concept and solving the little puzzles and the whole mystery element. That part was amazing. However, for me, I just didn't enjoy the storyline. I didn't really care for any of the characters, the voice acting was terrible and it was just very tedious and silly at times. I would prefer cases that feel real, that makes you want to solve the case because you care about the characters. I don't know if the game was necessarily meant to be about that though, hence why I've rated it three stars because the concept is good and if you like solving things then you'll enjoy it regardless. But yeah, for me, I started to find it boring towards the end and didn't really care about who did it because I didn't care for the storyline or the characters.
The content was good, each episode was well laid out. If the web sections worked as well on a phone as they should on a laptop/desktop, it would have been better. I don’t have access to either of those right now and although I got to the end, there were more than a few glitches that held me up due to the incompatibility.
Fantastic. Really well thought through with complexity missing in other murder investigation games. Multi stage also allowed you to break up the adventure over multiple days and the use of multiple media sources made it feel more real. Very much looking forward to the next case
Well what struck me the most was how in depth and how intricate this is.
The attention to detail is brilliant and I would highly recommmend.
Also, the hints help but stay away as they will take the fun out of the experience if you go straight to them. Notes are your best friend!!!
Very immersive, i like ghe way you have different media, physical clues & paperwork to deal with
I tried several producers of detective games, this one is very good! At first I thought that the 3 episode game will mean something like 3 murders, connected to each other, but apparently it is like a one long case. Even so, it was very engaging and sometimes mind-breaking to get the clue. The difficulty is very good. In total me and my boyfriend spent about 3 hours per one chapter of the game. I liked interacting with the website as well, when you cannot just find the clue or missing information by just binge-clicking several names. You need to think what to find and that is very cool!
